Lowdown: Mass Effect 3

Here's the deal with ME3. If you're a fan of the series, I don't need to tell you much. Mass Effect was confirmed as a trilogy back in 2008. After the first Mass Effect the series has only gotten better. The first game was able to seamlessly blend the RPG aspect into an action adventure third person shooter. It was intriguing. It was an instant classic. It was damn near perfect in all honesty. Then came the second game. It improved upon almost every aspect that everyone had come to love and enjoy. The armor was upgradable, the combat was more intense, the characters had more depth. It was mind-blowing. Then comes the announcement of the third installment. The unanimous expectation is nothing less than perfection. Bioware has done an exceptional job so far, and I don't see that changing any time soon. The last game is finally coming to the birth place of humanity: Earth. Finally we will get to see the futuristic vistas we've been dying to see since the first game. The announcement trailer gave us a taste of the general emotional setting. Earth is under siege by the Reapers. All hell has broken loose and the Alliance is all but disbanded. We are on our last leg as humanity. It comes down to Commander Shepard. He must assemble a force of humans and aliens alike to take the fight to the Reapers and defend Earth against the most unstoppable force the Universe has ever known. What can we expect? Here are a few things i think we can expect. Even further development with returning characters. More variety of weaponry and more upgrades. Multiple suits of armor with even more upgrades. An improved combat system. An improved Normandy. Improved material mining. In short, everything will be improved. I am looking forward to seeing how this trilogy will conclude. I'm interested to see how the redemption aspect will play out in this epic conclusion to the trilogy. Note that I said trilogy, not series. This may not be the last scuffle to save the galaxy that Commander Shepard appears in.
On a side note, it is important to know that EA is now the producer of Mass Effect. It is also important to note that the CEO of EA announced that single player only games are a thing of the past. So it may not be an outlandish thought that ME3 may come with a multiplayer mode. I know that is troubling news to most of the hardcore fans, but Bioware will do it up right. That's all for now. I will update as more info becomes available. -308
